As the 2008 Olympic games begin, do you find yourself asking a simple question about missing children? Why, with all the coverage, is there not one single PSA covering a missing child; not even Madeleine McCann arguably the most recognized missing child worldwide?
The NCMEC which recieves over $35 million annually from the Department of Justice hasn’t made any appeals nor has the Find Madeleine website (which no longer publishes the exact number of millions they have received).
The CAC Charities, through the generosity of our sponsors and individuals, did air a show in Jacksonville, Florida on Comcast 29 Saturday at 8:00 p.m. about missing children. Unfortunately it was in the same time slot as the Olympic games and the first pre-season game for the Jacksonville Jaguars. However the Jaguars did graciously allow us to have a booth at the Pepsi Plaza and will show a PSA about child safety, missing children and the Child Alert Center on the stadium jumbotron during home games.
